About me
My working life: From Risk Management to workplace wellbeing
Throughout my career, I was always someone who looked beyond processes and policies to the people they impact. My background in insurance and risk management, particularly in industrial settings and building sites, gave me firsthand experience of how critical focus, communication, and team morale are to workplace safety. But beyond the practicalities of risk management, I recognised a deeper, often overlooked factor affecting the workplace, and that was grief.

I have always been an advocate, a team spokesperson—a natural "emotional labourer." Whether mentoring new colleagues, upskilling teams, or fostering engagement, my focus has always been on creating an environment where people feel supported and valued. Over time, I came to understand how little grief in the workplace and its effects was recognised, and I felt compelled to become a voice for those that are grieving.

This realization compelled me to shift my focus to grief education in the workplace. I now work with organisations to help them recognise and respond to grief in a way that enhances both compassion and productivity. By understanding the cognitive effects of grief and creating a supportive culture, businesses can reduce risks, improve team engagement, and build workplaces where employees can navigate loss without fear of stigma.
If you're looking to create a more resilient, aware, and compassionate workplace, I would love to help.
